bible school
One of the goals of Sathyam Ministries is, to equip able men for evangelization in the North Indian villages where many people have not heard about Jesus Christ. We realized that we could aim toward this goal with the help of a seminary. In order to bring our dream of reaching the North Indian villages with the love of Jesus Christ, Sathyam Ministries started Sathyam Theological Seminary on July 17, 2003, in Mumbai (Bombay).
It was started with a clear vision and direction from the Lord. It was instituted when the Sathyam Ministries clearly felt the need of training native missionaries and send them out to reach the people irrespective of caste or creed or religion with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was set up because the Sathyam Ministries believes that each servant of the Lord has the right to master the basic doctrines of the Bible which will also prevent the teaching and spreading of false doctrines and being victims of it. Now Sathyam Theological Seminary is located in Kaviyoor, Kerala, which equips many missionaries. After students complete the course, they return back to their native places to proclaim the gospel and gain souls for the Kingdom of God. These students who come from across India prove very effective in communicating the love of God to their brethren. |
CHURCH PLANTING
In February of 2004, while Dr. C.V.Vadavana was visiting the state of Andhra Pradesh, a lady about 80 years old came with tears in her eyes and hugged him. When asked why she was crying, she thanked Dr. Vadavana for sending the Sathyam Theological Seminary students to her village. She wanted to know why the Sathyam / Truth Ministries delayed in sending missionaries to her village.
The words of the old lady were an eye-opener for Dr.Vadavana, he then realized that even though the cities are crowded with mission organizations, pastors, and evangelists, the villages are yet to be reached with the gospel. Sathyam/Truth Ministries then decided to send missionaries to interior villages that are unreached with the gospel. Training evangelists for village ministry is becoming one of the most important goals of Truth ministries. We have been able to train men in many batches, teaching them basic Christian doctrines and methods of evangelization. We realized that there are hardly any churches in the villages and recognized the need. We started focusing on remote villages where there were no churches in order to ensure that all people are given the chance to learn about Jesus Christ. |
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Children are a gift from God. They are active learners drawing on direct physical and social experience, as well as culturally transmitted knowledge to construct their own understandings of the world around them. Children contribute to their own development as they strive to make meaning out of their daily experiences in the home, in church, and in the community.
Children develop and learn best in the context of a community where they are safe and valued, their physical needs are met, and they feel psychologically secure. During their primary years, children’s self-esteem (estimation of their self-worth, pride, or shame in their competence) becomes more realistic and accurate. As children mature, they begin to understand the limitation of their own abilities and become more prone to social comparison. This information becomes part of their self-concept and can affect their motivation. Sathyam / Truth Ministries focuses on the motivation of children. We try to bring children to the right path by practicing a practical development approach in everything we do and offer to children. This means that different age groups of children are treated and taught differently and have different environments, designed to meet their needs. |
