Church Leaders Conference 2023 organized in association with Sathyam Ministries was conducted on the 5th and 6th of January 2023 at Thiruvalla Sathyakoodaram. The theme for this year’s conference was “Higher Calling”. Inauguration was done Br. C.V. Vadavana and Presidential Address was given Evg. Mathew P John. The main speakers were Pastor Paul Thompson and Pastor Tom Perry.
About 137 Church Leaders attended the conference which included Evangelists, Bible College teachers, students, pastors, church elders, Sunday school - youth workers and missionaries. The session was divine and the gathered people were highly motivated to become a more dedicated servant of Jesus Christ. Church leader and pastors from various districts of Kerala as well as from all around India attended and was enlightened with wisdom of Lord Jesus.
The session by Pastor Tom and Pastor Paul wised up the church leader about the need of dedication, commitment to Lord and the spiritual growth should be the highest desire for each of the missionaries. The Conference offered the people gathered with the opportunity to share their testimony as well as to prayer request into their subject matters.
The ambiance at the conference was filled with the loud heartfelt praise of lord through melodious songs and the church leaders were able to intensively worshiped God’s grace. Church leader’s morale was uplifted by divine words and attentively attended the conference. The words of the speakers guided the leaders into a more dedicated service and to be enthusiastic in the field of the spreading the words of Lord though they may be persecuted and many hurdles may come in their way.
The conference ensured that people gather gain knowledge into practicing ministerial activities more efficiently and to gain strength by the words of the Bible. The session was an eye opener to many who were blessed with the graceful words of the Jesus. While the worshipers were motivated by the testimonials of the missionaries in the field all around the world and the hurdles they faced lighted the paths of new missionaries.
Many prayer requests were received. Among them the prayer request of missionary who serve at Jammu Kashmir was about the hardship he faced at the spreading the gospel of Lord and to remember in prayers the family of missionary who was martyred by the religious fanatics especially this martyr’s wife who is 3 months pregnant. Through this 2 day conference many such prayer requests were received from various missionaries all around India.
The holy Bible preaching session also ensure that servant of Jesus had an insight into the tremendous task in front of them in the journey towards spreading the words of Lord to the people who are yet to be saved by the unending love. Servants of Lord who are persecuted at all turns of their journey realized that their hardship will be never-ending and to be a competent leader one need to work with perseverance and with faith on Christ.
Testimonial by missionaries all around Kerala as well as India lighted up the spirit of the church leaders to put their all might into the service. Testimonials were so inspiring that each and everyone feel motivated into develop as more competent servant. Evangelists, Bible College teachers, students, pastors, church elders, Sunday school authorities, youth workers and missionaries were encouraged to dwell more into their mission with the strength of Lord.
The 2 day Church Leader Conference ended with the leaders and pastors being impassioned by the words of Lord. The gathering offered the servants of Lord with a heavenly experience. The conference helped in leadership development for people involved in ministerial activities. No matter what kind of role a person performs, leadership development is crucial. Since leadership positions in ministerial work require a different skill set than any other leadership roles, this conference thus paved way for the development of competent religious leaders.
