The Impact of Vocational Training In Paper Bag Making
On 25th May, 2023, a vocational training skills class on paper bag making and screen printing was conducted at Justin’s Home by Mr. Rozen Zac Joseph. The purpose of this initiative was to provide the residents of Justin’s Home with an opportunity to learn new skills, engage in a creative activity, and potentially acquire a vocational skill that could contribute to their future employment prospects.
The training session was divided into two main parts: paper bag making and screen printing. Mr. Rozen Zac Jospeh, an experienced paper bag maker and screen printing specialist, served as an instructor for the course. The session was conducted in the Entrance hall, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for all the participants.
During the paper bag making segment, participants were introduced to various techniques and processes involved in creating paper bags. Mr. Rozen demonstrated the step-by-step process of selecting appropriate materials, measuring and cutting, folding, and gluing. The participants were provided with hands-on training, enabling them to practice each step under Mr. Rozen’s guidance.
In the screen printing segment, participants learned the fundamentals of screen printing and its application to paper bags. Mr Rozen explained the concept of screen printing, including the preparation of stencils, screen preparation, ink mixing, and printing techniques. Participants were given the opportunity to apply the given design to their paper bags using screen printing method.
The training session was specifically tailored to accommodate the needs of the residents with disabilities. Mr. Rozen ensured that the instruction were delivered clearly, with visual aids and demonstrations provided as necessary.
